Turn down your lights – Turn up the stars!
You probably aren’t trespassing on your neighbor’s property – What about your lights?
Cave Creek is a great place to see the night sky but we are loosing the ability to see the stars as more people move into the area and install lights that ruin the night sky. Cave Creek has a lighting ordinance that addresses this issue but many folks are not aware of it. The short version: your outside lights must be shielded so they do not shine up or out. Lights that shine only onto the immediate ground provide for safety and security but do not blind your neighbors and ruin our beautiful night sky.
